Cohorted Beauty Box | June 2016

June Cohorted box1 June Cohorted box2

As a new month arrives, a new Cohorted beauty box is put together! This months box includes products from the following brands; NARS, Lord & Berry, James Read, and HD Brows and the total worth of the June box is said to be £82.00, which is good value considering you pay £35.00 a month for the Cohorted subscription beauty box. I also must say that each month brings quite the guessing game, as some months there are five products whereas others, like June, there are just four.

and here are the products included in June’s box..

James Read
Instant Bronzing Spray
This month you could either receive the James Read Instant Bronzing Spray or alternatively the Wash Off Body Tan – and as you can see I recieved the Instant Bronzing Spray, which I have to say I am glad about. Each of these tanning products retail at £25.00 for 200ml and the Instant Bronzing Spray is said to be lightweight and fast-acting, with a 360 degree nozzle that helps bronze instantly. Not only is this bronzing spray instant but it also continues to develop for a further three to five hours – depending on how bronzed you like to appear! Now, I haven’t heard of or tried any James Read products before, so unfortunately I can’t tell you right now whether this product is any good but like always if this is good, I will of course let you know on my blog in the near future, so subscribe so you don’t miss out!

RRP: £25.00

Lord & Berry
Supreme Iridescent Eyeliner: Blue
Firstly, I HAVE to say that if you like deep, dark blue eyeliners then this product is definitely for you!! As the shade: Supreme is gorgeous with it being a deep midnight blue with an also beautiful light metallic finish. Lord & Berry is a brand that I have heard of before.. I just can’t think where but I know I have had a product of theirs in the past! The price of this product usually retails at £12.00 and from swatching a small tester of this on the back of my hand I can tell you that it is VERY pigmented and actually really quite creamy and soft in texture.

RRP: £12.00

Velvet Matte Lip Pencil, in the shade: Paimpol
Moving onto a brand that I’m ALWAYS delighted to see and that’s NARS. Now, I have many of the velvet matte lip pencils within my make-up collection and let me tell you firstly that I absolutely love them! They are creamy and moisturising in texture, and just feel so so lovely with a good pigmented colour too. From this months box I received the shade: Paimpol – which is nice and I can see a lot of people loving this shade however for me this is far to light and subtle in colour and unfortunately for me, this doesn’t even make an appearance on my lips but on the back on my hand it shows as a very light candy floss pink.

RRP: £20.00

HD Brows
Eye & Brow Palette
Last but certainly not least is this eyes and brows palette by HD Brows. This palette includes a wax, a highlighter shade and then three further shades for both the brows and eyes – including a contour shade, one deep brown and lastly a deep dark brown/black shade and there is also a little duo ended make-up brush for the application. HD Brows is again a brand that I have heard of before.. but I just can’t think where, maybe it’s from the NEC Clothes Show. Again, I have heard a lot of positive feedback about HD Brows as a brand from my fellow make-up enthusiasts so I am looking forward to trying this product out!

RRP: £25.00

Overall, I can’t say that I’m delighted with this months box as I’m not overly and especially excited about any of the products included. I am looking forward to trying the HD Brows palette, as my brow routine has recently became quite a mess and I find myself not really knowing which products to use. Along with the four products, Cohorted have also given it’s subscribers a discount code for 35% of Chanel lipsticks and a further discount code for 25% off Lord & Berry, which is great if you like to order those kind of things!

What do you think to the June box?

Thank you!
