Over these past few months I have to say that Cohorted have really let me down in terms of their beauty subscription box. Of course like all subscription boxes, it’s a gamble and sometimes it pays off and sometimes it doesn’t. The July box HOWEVER has definitely restored my faith in the beauty box subscription service, as I love each of the products included and am very excited to try each one out. I think one thing about subscription boxes that people love, is the fact that they receive a surprise collection of goodies from brands that they may or may not have heard of before. In this box, I have heard of each of the brands but I haven’t tried or used any of the products included before. Out of the products, I am really looking forward to trying out the lipstick & gel liner together with also that mysterious product by NARS and that sculpt & glow kit… Oh my!
To start things off, I’m going to go in order of how the products are displayed in the little info beauty booklet that is included:
NARS; Monoi Body Glow II
After reading through quite a few different descriptions about this product; I believe that this is an oil which is actually ‘good for your skin’ rather than just a nice smelling and potentially kind to skin product. The oil is made from macerating the tiare flower (Tahitian gardenia) in refined coconut extract for at least 10 days, with also infusing nutrients & a light and natural fragrance along the way. Each bottle of the NARS Monoi body glow II is also given a tiare flower to ensure that it retains and captures the essence of it’s unique process. The oil itself, is to be used to hydrate, calm and prevent tanned skin from peeling. Monoï de Tahiti Oil has also been used for centuries by French Polynesia for its medicinal, soothing, moisturizing, protecting and beautifying benefits. In my opinion I really like the scent of this oil, as it’s actually quite a sweet smell that sort of reminds me of honey in a way. I feel like this product would be a lovely thing to use if your abroad or on holiday or actually just like to keep your skin oiled and sun-ready, plus I really like the packaging!!!

HD Brows; Sculpt & Glow Palette
There was actually a HD Brow palette in lasts months box too, which is why I’m now aware of this brand! This is the sculpt & glow palette by HD Brows and I have to say that I was a little shocked when I first opened this up, because the sculpting balm is VERY dark and the glow balm is very pink.. so we shall see. From doing a little swatch test on my arm, I can tell you that the consistency of each of these balm products is very strange! literally it’s like putting a coloured vaseline on your face!
Bobbi Brown; Soothing Cleansing Oil
RRP: 30ml-£10.00 / 200ml-£32.00
I was very happy to see that this product by Bobbi Brown was sitting in my box this month, as I am a fan of her products!! In the box, I received a 30ml ‘on the go’ bottle, which actually I’m really happy about – as yes it may be small but it’s actually a great size to be able to test the product out first, to see if your even going to like it! It is to be used for cleansing impurities and removing make-up without leaving the skin feeling tight or dry! This product is made from soothing jasmine flower extract, moisturising kukui nut oil, and a blend of both Italian olive, organic sunflower oil and jojoba oils.
There is also a £10 voucher code for the shop: Zalando.co.uk
The Vintage Cosmetics Company; Blending Sponge
If you didn’t know already, my BeautyBlender sponge is for me a complete and utter holy grail product. I use mine everyday without fail and I absolutely love it!! So, seeing another blending sponge in the box this month made me VERY happy!
Bellapierre; Mineral Lipstick (shade: Envy)
Lipstick for me is definitely a beauty product that I regard as a little bit more special, as some people can collect dozens of mascaras or nail polishes, I really like having a broad and varied collection of lipsticks and lip products! Within my entire lip product collection I can’t say I have a mineral lipstick, so this for me is a complete and utter newbie to try!
I’m also in love with the shade, at last they have sent a useable colour!!!
Bellapierre; Waterproof Gel Lipliner (shade: Cinnamon)
Last but certainly not least, we have a second product by Bellapierre in the July box and this is a waterproof gel lipliner! The waterproof gel liners are to be used for prepping the lips before the use of a mineral lipstick or they can in fact be used on their own!
Overall, I am very happy with this month’s box as I’m actually looking forward to trying each and everyone of the products included – which I can’t say I’ve said in a while! The total value of this box, according to Cohorted is £125.95, which I have to say is not bad at all considering you pay £35.00 each month.
What do you think to the Cohorted beauty box this month, are you subscribed to Cohorted?
