Lipstick Haul, ft. Gerard Cosmetics

You may or may not have heard of Gerard Cosmetics before, as it’s a brand that’s much more accessible in the US – however stock quite a few Gerard Cosmetics products.

Whilst undertaking a little beauty shopping spree on, back in April (I’ll leave a link to that blogpost below), I purchased four of the lip products by Gerard Cosmetics, as for SUCH a long time I had been in two minds as to whether to purchase these or not. I follow Gerard Cosmetics on Instagram and am forever seeing their lip products in use! They always look creamy in texture and rich in pigmentation, so I decided that it was time to invest!

First up we have a liquid lipstick, which is from the hydra matte collection. This particular one is in the shade: Invasion, which I chose as I thought it was going to be a really pretty pinky mauve colour. It comes in a very pretty frosted glass tube with an also lovely metallic gold lid – where the sponge wand applicator is attached. I can firstly tell you that this liquid lipstick is very rich in pigmentation, as the deep shade appears instantly when you first apply it to your lips. The formula to this lipstick is actually quite thick and it blends easily but you want to take your time when slapping this on, as less is definitely more. The shade: Invasion is in my opinion a really deep lilac purple, that definitely drys matte in finish!

The following three lipsticks are ones that I chose from looking at swatches on Google images, with them being ones that I liked the look of and thought they would compliment my skin tone, etc.
Again, I really like the packaging to these lipsticks, as they remind me of MAC by their bullet shape casing. I also really like the striking metallic gold packaging, as it appears much more higher-end than their price tag.

and here are the lipsticks..

Vintage Rose
This shade in my opinion is a dusky rose with a plum undertone. It has a matte finish which actually makes it quite difficult to apply, as it’s quite solid and unfortunately it isn’t the smoothest at going onto the lips. Once on the lips however this lipstick feels creamy in texture.

Berry Smoothie
This shade in my opinion is a berry red with a slight brown undertone. It has a much more sheer’er texture and consistency, making this apply a lot easier on the lips. Finish wise, this has a slight sheer finish which I personally prefer, as it allows the lips to feel more moisturised and hydrated.

Rodeo Drive
This shade in my opinion is a nude with an also coral and brown undertone.. again this shade has a sheer texture, consistency and finish.

Thank you!
