This post in in collaboration with Seventeen Cosmetics UK
Back in February, I created a post very similar to this one, which is titled; ‘Beauty looks: Valentines Day 2016 and I had a lot of fun creating it.
Now as we have, dare I say finally reached the UK’s summer, I felt now was a good a time as any to smack some summery make-up on my face (not literally of course) and create a new beauty look post for my readers to hopefully enjoy!
My ‘step into summer’ beauty look has been inspired by the idea of a nice matte lip and warm bronzy eyes & cheeks. I would also just like to mention that I’m quite pale in this look, as I didn’t want to fake tan beforehand – you can of course fake tan and therefore bronze this up more if you so wish.. but I personally wanted to keep it a little more natural.
To begin, I primed my face with my absolute favourite; Stila One Step Correct. This primer always makes my skin feel and look a lot more healthier and radiant. It’s a primer that I know I can always count on plus it really aids with the application of a liquid foundation. After priming, I went in with another favourite product of mine and that’s the NARS Sheer Glow, in the shade: Mont Blanc. I’m a huge fan of the texture, consistency and coverage that this foundation gives and I chose this foundation as I still wanted quite a dewy finish to my skin. After foundation, of course comes concealer – or otherwise known as an absolute god send! At the moment I’m really enjoying using the Urban Decay NAKED Skin concealer, which I know is a popular and found favourite across the beauty world anyway. For this look, I placed some under my eyes, some down my nose and just over any problem areas in general really, and then blended it all in with a damp BeautyBlender! To then set my under-eyes and where I’d previously popped on some concealor, I decided to lightly brush over some of the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish, in the shade: 1 fair, which is actually and not surprisingly an amazing product!!
Moving onto a much more funner and creative part of make-up!
I decided to bronze my cheekbones and around the contouring areas of my face with the Rosie for Autograph bronzer, in the shade: Magic Contour. Again, this is a bronzer that I’m actually slightly obsessed with, as it applies and blends beautifully with the colour in general just being a gorgeous soft tanned shade with a subtle but fair warm orange under-tone. To then give my cheeks a touch of warmth and colour, I lightly brushed over some of the absolutely gorgeous; NYX ombré blush in the shade: Mauve Me (OB04) and I have to say for such a decent priced blush, I’m very impressed with the quality!
For dazzling passers by I went with a lovely champagne toned highlighter, with that being; theBalm Mary Lou Manizer – which if you haven’t tried already.. get to Debenhams and give it a good swatch test, as I can pretty confidently say you won’t be disappointed!!
Last but not least, I decided to sweep over some of the Seventeen Instant Glow Pink Bronze, Bronzing Rocks, which were actually gifted to me by Seventeen Cosmetics a short time ago. These bronzing rocks.. and I can assure you I’m not just saying this, are such good value for money. I mean, the packaging is in my opinion much more higher-end looking than drugstore and you actually get a very decent colour pay-off too.
For my brows, I decided fill them in using some of my Anastasia Beverly Hills Duo brow powder, in the shade: Dark Brown, as my brows are naturally quite sparse, and light in colour.
Moving onto my bronzy and slightly coppery eyes, I chose a combination of shades from the Laura Geller, The Delectables palette, and then coated my lashes, 2-3 times with some of my Volume Effect mascara by YSL.
As for my LIPS! I first used my drugstore favourite lip oil; which is the Barry M, Coco Loco and this includes ‘hydrating & nourishing coconut oil and smoothing camellia. After the lip oil had settled and dried into my lips, I finished off this look with the NYX Lingerie liquid lipstick in the shade; Bedtime Flirt!
Overall, I’m very happy with this look, as I’m also hopeful that you like it to?!
I did try to mix the products up in terms of drugstore brands and higher-end, as I know not everyone feels the need to spend so much on ‘branded products’. If you are aware of any dupes for any of the products that I have included, please let me know (as well as everyone else) within the comments below, and if you do decide to give this look a go, please let me know also as I would love to see it!
