Givenchy Mister Radiant Primer & Givenchy Teint Couture Long-Wear Foundation

A short time ago, I visited the Givenchy beauty stand at my local Debenhams, and there got talking to one of the loveliest shop assistants going… plus an absolute artist at doing make-up, I mean, his make-up was a piece of art in itself! During my visit to the Givenchy beauty stand, I discovered the very attractive Givenchy Mister Radiant Primer and the also very sweet Givenchy Teint Couture Long-Wear Foundation, which I’m now very happily sharing with you all in this post.

This radiant primer promises to give your skin a fresh and smoothing base, ready for your chosen foundation.

The appearance of this product speaks wonders, I mean, I’m a true fool for any make-up product that looks pretty, with that also being perhaps pink! So looks wise, this product ticks all the boxes for me.

But, to be perfectly honest, I’m not a fan of this primer. It’s quite a difficult product to work with, and with that to also apply.

When you first squeeze the gel-type formula out, onto the back of your hand for example, it has these tiny, micro beads that you first must burst yourself before applying onto your skin – BECAUSE if you choose to apply this straight onto the skin and then try and burst the beads as you rub it in, some of the beads won’t burst as easy and then you end up with these tiny little hard bits all around your face, which I can assure you is not pleasant in the slightest. I’m ALSO not overly impressed with the product itself. I mean, if I’m lucky enough to squeeze some of the formula out, blend and burst all the beads successfully and then apply and rub it into my skin – even then I can’t say that I’m really that overwhelmed with what this product actually does… YES, it gives your skin a touch of radiance and warmth, but apart from that, I wouldn’t say its an extraordinary product to use, and I certainly won’t be repurchasing it.

This foundation is described by Givenchy to be long-wearing, illuminating on the skin and also comfortable to wear.

Again, I unfortunately have to say that I’m not overly impressed with this product, as I don’t find it to be a long-wearing foundation that looks all that great on my skin.

It has quite a thick formula, but it does blend well and pretty easily too. As coverage goes, I would describe it to give a light-medium coverage, however, I don’t find this conceals blemishes, freckles or redness all that well either. This foundation does give skin a nice radiant finish and with that’s it’s a very comfortable liquid foundation to wear throughout the day. It’s just unfortunate that as the days goes on and after 3-4 hours of wear it does turn quite streaky in areas on the face. I’ve also personally found that this rubs away in areas on my face as the days gone on, including areas such as my mouth, on my nose and strangely on my forehead too.

Overall, I wouldn’t say that I hate this foundation.. because I don’t. There are days where I turn to my make-up stash and think, ‘Oo I’ll go for Givenchy today’, and I mean, it never looks disastrous, it’s just I prefer a little more coverage and a longer-wear from my foundation, seeming as I don’t ever touch my make-up, up throughout the day.

What do you think to these products, will you try them for yourself?!

Thank you!
