Make-Up Look | Autumnal Day with Seventeen Cosmetics

This post is in collaboration with Seventeen Cosmetics UK

Do you remember my, ‘A Step into Summer’ look?! Well, this one is very similar, except of course now it’s October, this ones Autumnal.

A little while ago, I received a lovely email from a lovely lady at Seventeen cosmetics (Boots UK), and there she asked me if I would like to try some Seventeen products, and perhaps create a look using them… I’ve been lucky enough to use and work with Seventeen before, so I gratefully accepted and a few days later received my new goodies through the post.

Seventeen very kindly sent me; their gorgeous and very popular Eyeshadow Mono, in the shade: Gold, their also VERY popular Skin WOW concealer pen, in the shade: Fair and two of Seventeen’s new Mega Matte Lipsticks, in the shades: Orange you gorgeous & Rioja your world.

Thrown together with a few other beauty products – including some other Seventeen products that I already own, I’ve put together this little casual, Autumnal look, which I hope you can either take inspiration from or feel free to copy me entirely… either way be sure to let me know on either Twitter or Instagram!

For my base, I decided to go with a primer that I’ve really been enjoying using, and that’s the Marc Jacobs Invisible Under(cover) Perfecting Coconut Face Primer. It’s soothing, hydrating and a very comfortable primer to apply and wear, which for my everyday make-up is absolutely what I want!

As Seventeen is very much a drugstore brand and with that a very affordable brand of make-up too, I felt that it’d be only right to keep the cost down to a minimum within this look (ignoring the Marc Jacobs primer completely of course!), which is why I went with the LÓréal Infallible 24hr Foundation, and to set, the matching LÓréal Infallible Powder. These products are in my opinion very good and as drugstore foundations go, ones that I happily use.

Moving straight onto eyes, I first applied the shade: Warm Ivory, from my Seventeen Easy on the Eye Palette as a transition shade and then following on with the shade: Warm Mink, in my crease to really deepen that area and add a bit of definition to my eyes. Then over (more or less) my entire lid, I swept some of the lovely gold eyeshadow that I received. To then darken and define my bottom waterline slightly, I lightly blended some (of my absolutely favourite eyeliner ever!), Urban Decay’s 24/7 eyeliner, in the shade: Roach, and for my lashes, applied a generous, 2-3 coats of the Seventeen’s Long Lash mascara.

When it comes to my brows, I always usually prefer more natural and if I’m completely honest, less symetrical looking brows. I mean, this is just my personal choice, and if you choose to recreate this look, then of course do your brows however you normally would, but for this look, I chose to use my Smashbox Brow Tech Gloss Stick, in the shade: Brunette, and finish them with a clear brow perfector by No7.

Defining your face is of course a personal preference, and if you don’t usually or don’t want to contour then that’s completely fine. This look doesn’t depend on the use of contour, bronzer or highlight… it’s just that I usually use these types of products daily, so I’ve just included them within this look. If you don’t usually contour, then please by all means feel free to skip this section.

To define and highlight areas of my face, I went with the Define & Conquer Contour Kit by Seventeen. This palette is actually one of my favourite drugstore products, as the contour powder blends really well, but also defines and adds warmth to my face nicely. For blush, I chose the very popular Max Factor Creme Puff Blush, in the shade: Seductive Pink.

Lastly… highlight! My chosen highlighter is the ColourPop Super Shock Cheek, in the shade: Spoon, and I applied this on the top of my cheekbones, down the centre of my nose, on my cupid bow, on my inner corners and just under my brow arch.

We’re nearly there…

The very last stage for this look is lips, and for this look I chose to actually combine both the lip shades that I was sent by Seventeen together, to create a really bright, fun, plum-toned red lip!autumnal-day-with-seventeen3

Overall, I have to say that I really like this look, and actually really like the lip colour! Red’s aren’t usually shades that I normally go for but this is actually a really pretty colour. The mega matte lipsticks by Seventeen are also really good products, I mean, you would never be able to tell that these are matte lipsticks from when you first put them on, as they apply so smoothly and hydrating, and I definitely need to invest into some more of these for sure.

What do you think to this look, will you be tring anything similar?
