September 2016 Favourites

September 2016 Favourites

Another month’s passed us by, bringing colder weather and the mystery of Halloween upon us…
The heating’s already made an appearance and I’ve swopped my bedding to putting on a thicker bread spread… So, what’s been happening this past month, well, I’ve now introduced a ‘Shop’ on my blog, in which you can shop both products & items that I already own and love or alternatively by my ‘Wishlist’, you can shop the items my heart is longing for. I’ve also added a ‘shop the look‘ page, where you can shop looks that I’ve already put together!

During September, I also reviewed quite a few individual products, including the new Estée Lauder Cushion Stick Foundation and the also new full coverage Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation. In all September, for me, was a pretty good month – to which I got to try out a lot of new and interesting make-up products!

As I have done now for quite a while, here are my beauty product highlights from September, including products that I was reaching for on more than one occasion…

Mark Hill Miracoilous Nourishing Shampoo & Conditioner Duo

Possibly, my favourite ever smelling shampoo and conditioner duo. I’ve been using these now in turn for quite a weeks. The scent of this duo reminds me hugely of a good bath bomb by Lush. As, its a citrus’s type scent which is also very clean and fresh. I also really like this duo as they make my coloured hair feel soft and look cleaner, healthier and shinier.

Anastasia Beverly Hills | Brow Powder Duo – Dark Brown

My brows and me have a bit of a love-hate relationship. I mean, some days they can turn out fine.. half descent in fact but then there’s other days when they turn out looking like they’ve had a massive fall out and then settled on a divorce, and so I’m always looking for new and easy products to use, but one product that I always turn to, if in doubt, is the brow powder duo by ABH. It has good pigmentation and the powder itself is smooth – it isn’t crumbly so you don’t get any dreaded dust or fall out from this product. It fills brows in well and overall is a nice product to use!

Smashbox Step-by-Step Contour Stick Trio

You may or may not have read my review/ how-to blogpost already but these are the only cream contour products that I’m using at the moment. They’re easy to use, as they blend quickly and easily – especially with my also favourite Artis Oval 7 brush plus they also appear once blended very natural. They give the face, when used correctly of course, structure and definition, which is exactly what you want from a contour product.

Artis Oval 7 Make-Up Brush | Elite Collection – Mirror Finish

Hands up! I included this in August’s favourites too… but I love this brush so much – it was hard not to include it once again. It’s literally the only face brush that I’ve been using for the past two months, apart from using my BeautyBlender for concealer of course.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Moisturiser – gel-cream

Again a product that I’ve been obsessed with! Moisturiser for me is one of those skincare products that I get bored with very easily, I mean, I can forget to put it on.. or just simply I can’t be bothered to get up and do it! This moisturiser however is very different! It feels SO lovely on the skin, it feels refreshing, cooling (but not cold) and very hydrating indeed! I use this both in the morning, after washing and in the evening, once I’ve taken off my make-up!

NARS Audacious Lipsticks

After completing my ‘Twelve Autumnal Lippies‘ post, I definitely couldn’t leave this lipstick out of my favourites!! I literally couldn’t live without this lipstick… okay, slight over-exaggeration, maybe I could?! but it’s just my most favourite lipstick EVER! It’s comfortable to apply and wear, it has one of the best pigmentations I’ve seen and the finish is just SO smooth and lovely.
