Lip masks are definitely on-trend at the moment. From sheet styled ones to creams, I really wanted to share with you all the lip mask that I’m currently obsessed with at the moment.
I first tried the Kaplan MD Perfect Pout Lip Mask in sample form; which I received from either BeautyBay or Sephora?! –
Which really does prove that the sample you select at checkout is worth looking into, as without mine I would never have come across this fabulous product!
I use this lip mask (perhaps) once or twice a month OR more frequently if my lips are looking and feeling a little worse for wear. I can also turn to this mask when I’ve wore an extremely drying liquid lipstick OR if my lips have become very dry – which is common in colder weather.
How to use
To use this product, you first want to clean your hands (a standard step I know but always worth noting). Next, you want to get the spatular (included in the duo set) and take about a finger nail amount of the mask on the spatular.
Carefully, you want to spread the mask on your lips, ensuring that you have applied an even layer and a comfortable amount of the cream. At this point you may also feel a slight tingling sensation but don’t be alarmed, as this is completely normal, it’s just the cream working it’s magic!
After around 3 minutes, you want to carefully wipe off the lip mask with either a damp (warm) flannel or a gentle face wipe.
After using this lip mask I always like to apply a touch of the Kaplan MD Lip 20 Balm, as I find this really helps to hydrate and condition my lips – especially as the lip mask can leave my lips feeling quite matte in texture.
Overall, I’d have to describe this lip mask as one that you have to try! Either by sample form or by going straight in and purchasing the lip mask & lip balm duo set.
Unfortunately, I can’t compare this product to any other type of lip mask, as this is the only lip mask that I’ve ever tried. Although, with saying that I don’t feel the need to try any other mask as I really like the result that this one gives me.
It leaves my lips feeling smooth, texture free, plumper and certainly more hydrated. I also like to use the balm separately, whilst doing my make-up and before applying a lipstick, as I find this to unbelievably plump my lips and make them look amazing!
What do you think of lip masks, is this one that you like the sound off?!
