Seven Lippies I’m Loving Right Now

With SO many different types of lip products around, it’s sometimes difficult to know which product is going to be the best for you. As it’s not always about the colour. Before putting on a lipstick you have to think about the finish – whether it’s matte, sheer or shiny. The consistency of the lip product – whether it’s sticky, drying or tacky, and with that whether it’s long-lasting, smudge-proof or transfer-proof. Then there’s also the type of lip product that it is. Is it a liquid lipstick, and if so if the formula thin, thick or creamy?! Is it a lip product that you apply straight onto the lips or is it one that you need to apply by brush.
With so many choices and options, the whole procedure of choosing a lipstick can be very daunting. SO with that in mind, I thought I’d share with you all the seven lippies that I’m enjoying using at the moment.

Jouer Long-Wear Lip Crémes – Shades: Melon + Pétale de rose
Dior Rouge Couture Colour – Shades: St.Germain + Promenade
LÓRÉAL Colour Riche Gold Obsession – Shade: Nude Gold
Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick – Shade: Patina
Charlotte Tilbury K . I . S . S . I . N . G Lipstick – Shade: Hepburn Honey

Jouer Long-Wear Lip Crémes – Shades: Melon + Pétale de rose

These are the Jouer long-wear lip creme’s – which are otherwise known as liquid lipsticks. They have a VERY creamy, almost thick consistency and dry with a matte finish. Although, I wouldn’t say that these are overly drying for the lips, and even if you find them to be, you can easily hydrate your lips with a touch of lip balm or gloss over the top. They also have one of the best application methods that I’ve tried before! Which perhaps sound odd, as it’s a simple doe foot wand applicator BUT this works SO well. As the more pointed end enables you to apply the liquid lipstick with more precision, which is perfect for the corners of your mouth! The sponge itself is also amazing, as it seems to hold a lot of the lipstick formula – which is ideal for achieving an even, none cakey coating of lipstick!

My reason for including these in this post is because I use them A LOT! I use them on a regular basis and love either combining the two or wearing each shade alone! They’re also VERY pretty shades, as Melon is that perfect pinky nude shade that every make-up collection needs and Pétale de rose is just the most prettiest deep-toned rose.

Dior Rouge Couture Colour – Shades: St.Germain (Satin) + Promenade (Satin)

Dior Beauty is definitely my most favourite higher-end (designer) brand, as I’ve tried quite a few of their products over the last few months and haven’t been disappointed as of yet!

I first purchased one of these lipsticks with the idea of a more longer-wearing lip product in mind, and after speaking to the Dior Beauty counter lady, this is what she came up with. She told me that these are longer-wearer, which now I can assure you is definitely true. Although these aren’t transfer proof nor will they last throughout an entire day! They are however incredibly creamy, pigmented and very buttery and soft once on the lips.

LÓRÉAL Colour Riche Gold Obsession – Shade: Nude Gold

It’s always reassuring to know that drugstore products can compete with the more expensive, more fancy packaged brands – which is why I HAD to mention this lipstick! It’s £6.99 in Boots, which compared to some of the other lipsticks I own is a bargain! I mean, price shouldn’t come into it BUT it does.

This lipstick is absolutely perfect for those days when you don’t want to wear much make-up BUT you still want to make the effort. Alternatively, if your all about your eye make-up and need a good, subtle-toned nude lipstick, then this is one that I would recommend, as it’s extremely comfortable to wear and it applies smoothly on your lips. It also gives a beautiful gold-toned nude colour to your lips, which I adore!

By now you’ve probably noticed the pattern BUT I like a good nude lip, either that or something rose-toned!

Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick – Shade: Patina

On those days when I want to forget about my make-up… when I just want to put it on in the morning and still have it there when I get home, I ALWAYS like to go for a product that promises a longer-wear.

AGAIN, I LOVE the application method of this liquid lipstick, as this one has a very flat, doe foot wand applicator that reaches the corners of your mouth easy peasy! One thing I will say about the application method HOWEVER, is that you need a steady hand, as the formulas a little more liquid’y PLUS it’s very pigmented and the shades quite dark in colour – so mistakes show! Regardless of this though, it’s still one of favourites for those days when I want to make more of an effort.

Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick – Shade: Hepburn Honey

For Christmas I received a Charlotte Tilbury lipstick vault… I KNOW!?! and this is one of the shades that I’ve been wearing A LOT of recently, so I thought, why not share it with you all?!

Hepburn Honey is one of the prettiest Charlotte Tilbury shades that I’ve EVER seen. As it’s an almost orange-toned nude, that just looks so flattery against any eye look! I’m also loving the application method of this lipstick, as it’s literally SO creamy, moisturising and buttery.. which probably sounds like routine BUT honestly this lipstick has to have to the creamiest formulas compared to any other lipstick that I own.

Those of my five favourite lippies… what are yours?!

Thank you!
