It’s that time of the month again… The Cohorted Beauty Box has made it’s way to my delivery address and as I’m sat here unboxing it’s contents, I thought I’d write my first impressions on each of the products inside.
To begin, I can tell you that the February box is valued at £102.00 – which IF justifiable is very good value indeed. There’s also five full-sized products inside – which is of course very pleasant to see. Brand wise, I’d have to say that Urban Decay is the first brand to stand out to me! I mean, I blooming LOVE Urban Decay!!! Other than that there’s Doucce which has been in Cohorted before and Studio | 10 which I’ve definitely heard of before too. In all a mixed variety of products, which each seem very interesting to me.
Studio | 10 Visible Lift Face Definer
This is their best-selling all-in-one ‘pro kit for achieving a Hollywood-esque bone structure’. There isn’t a bronzer in this palette, only a ‘true sculpting’ powder to define, shape and contour the face. There’s also a warm gold undertone highlighter inside which instantly lifts and enhances your features. Finishing the trio is the gel-créme blusher which blends transparently ‘creating a youthful flush’.
As first impressions go I can’t say that this palette really, truly excites me. I mean, the blush shade is far too deep for my fair toned skin AND the overall look of the palette is a little plain and boring. HOWEVER the contour shade seems very grey-toned which is exactly what I like, as they tend to suit my skin tone the best PLUS the highlighter seems very soft and creamy in texture! Overall, I am looking forward to trying this palette but would never have paid £30.00 for it on it’s own.
Kure Bazaar Nail Polish – Shade: Melrose
I’m sure there’s been a nail polish by this brand in a Cohorted Beauty Box before?! Plus the shade that I’ve been given is just my cup of tea!! These nail polishes are eco-friendly, made from up to 85% of natural ingredients and free from harmful substances. Kure Bazaar also states that their nail polishes dry quickly, last long and hold an intense colour and shine.
Doucce Click Click Lipstick
Firstly… I LOVE the style of packaging that this lipstick has – AS you actually click the base and the lipstick itself comes out of the bottom!..
This lipstick supposedly gives a ‘highly pigmented sheer and creamy finish’ to the lips. It’s also supposedly lightweight and glides onto the lips effortlessly with a non-sticky formula. It’s supposedly comfortable to wear too, which if true is always a positive, along with being ‘moisturising and soothing’ for the lips.
Doucce Freematic Eye Shadow Quad – Apple Pie
This cute quad palette was also in my box this month, although there’s doesn’t seem to be any information about it in the booklet provided?!
Urban Decay Perversion Waterproof Fine-Point Eye Pen
Saving the best till last (in my opinion) there’s also an Urban Decay fine point eyeliner pen in this month’s box! No, I’m not an expert at winged eyeliner.. in fact, I’m pretty rubbish at it to tell you the truth BUT I’ve been wanting to try this product out for a very long time!
What do you think to the February Cohorted Beauty Box, are you subscribed to any monthly subscription boxes?!
