March 2017 – Hauls, New Products & My Thoughts SO Far

As much as I enjoy writing and putting together a monthly favourites post each month, there’s only so many (NEW) beauty products that I can buy, try and share with you all. Take March for example, I was still loving the products that I’d mentioned in my February Favourites. Like, Charlotte’s Magic Cream is the only moisturiser that I’m currently using PLUS Becca’s First Light Priming Filter is still an essential for me in my everyday routine.

With this, I can’t even say that I remember introducing anything new to my make-up collection, well not until late February/ early March anyway – and unfortunately I haven’t made my mind up on these products yet. NOW of course, there are still products in my make-up collection that I adore, with some of those being perhaps products that I’ve never even shared with you before. BUT for this post, I’ve decided that I’m going to do something a little bit different to what I usually do, and instead share with you all; products that I’ve recently purchased and my thoughts on some of them so far.

The Haul
First up, let’s get this haul out of the way.

SO if you didn’t know, it was my birthday in March, and for my birthday I thankfully received a little bit of money – with the intentions being, that I could get my hands on some of the make-up bits and bobs that my heart was L O N G I N G for. On the day of my birthday, I also very gratefully received a few make-up stunners, which you’ll see later on in this post.

I decided that it was time. Time to do the right thing. And with excitement in my heart I pressed the ‘confirm order’ button. It’s true, I finally got my hands on the Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer. I had the tiny 10ml sample of this primer ages and ages ago… and literally used it everyday! I loved it! SO with my birthday money in hand, I decided to finally treat myself to this very expensive gorgeous primer.

Continuing this tradition, I decided to pick up a foundation that I’ve been wanting to try for absolutely ages! The Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation is a found favourite amongst makeup fanatics everywhere and because of that I HAD to get it.
What else did I get?! WELL amongst the products, I may or may not have spent an absolute fortune on a lip treatment oil by Hourglass (BUT in my defence, I did have a gift card to use). I also finally got my hands on a NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer, in the shade Chantilly – because literally know where has had this shade in stock online until now?!

With the luxury, higher-end make-up products that I got ALSO has to come some drugstore goodies.
From Boots, I had a little splurge at the LÓréal counter – and picked up a LÓréal Infallible Sculpt Contouring Palette, in light/medium, an Eye Paint, in the shade: 101 Eternal White, a tube of the new Infallible Total Cover, Full Coverage Longwear Foundation in the shade 10 Porcelain and finally a Perfect Match Super Blendable Perfecting Concealer, in the shade: 2 Vanilla.

My Thoughts SO Far

Obviously, there’s quite a lot of products here BUT thankfully some I’ve literally only just unboxed (so I haven’t even tried them myself yet).

So far, I used the LÓréal Infallible Sculpt Contouring Palette a couple of times and I’m really liking it at the moment. I apply it gently, over the top of my foundation with a Real Techniques Bold Metals Tapered Blush Brush, as this seems to be the best brush I have for applying a firm’ish, cream product like this one to that area of my face. However, I have to tell you that I don’t use the other (highlighter) shade that’s included in this palette, as this is far too peach toned for my complexion and it just makes me appear red – which is definitely not ideal.

I’ve also been wearing a couple of the shades from the TooFaced Natural Eyes Palette, and so far I’m very impressed. The shadows all blend effortlessly and really beautifully. This palette is one that I know already I’ll get a lot of use out of, and I’m definitely very lucky to be able to own it.

As for some of the other products, I tried the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation for the very first time today, and as first impressions go, it’s a good one! Pairing with the foundation, I also gave my NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer a go, and I was very impressed. Obviously, I’ve only used it the once up to now but it doesn’t seem to be drying or cakey in appearance – which is perfect for my drier skin type! The lip oil by Hourglass is a definite luxury, isn’t it?! I’m wearing it, and my lips feel very sticky but ‘oh so good’!

Completing my thoughts on the products that I’ve managed to try out so far, I have to tell you about the two highlighter’s that I managed to get from TooFaced. WOWEE. These highlighter’s are stunners, and that’s before they’ve even been applied onto the skin. Both shades that I have are gorgeous! They each show on my fair skin beautifully and just make me feel very special when using them.

I hope you don’t mind the fact that this post is a little all over the place. I just really wanted to share with you all, the new products that I’ve recently added to my collection and my thoughts on the ones that I’ve tried out so far. I will be reviewing a lot of the products in this post individually, so be sure to subscribe to my blog – to be the first to know.
