“The Ultimate Neutral Eye Shadow Collection”
Coming across new products (which are advertised) on Instagram is one of my biggest weaknesses. I don’t know what it is but the minute I see a pretty looking product carefully placed in a beautiful looking flay lay, I’m all over it, and I need to get my hands on one right away.
In fact, Instagram’s probably to blame for the majority of my unnecessary purchases…
Another product that quickly caught my attention and headed straight onto my ‘I NEED RIGHT NOW LIST’, is the new TooFaced Natural Love Eyeshadow Palette, which holds thirty beautiful neutral shades and costs a hefty £52.00 in price. However for your money you get an array of matte shades and some beautiful and very wearable shimmery ones too PLUS a huge rectangular mirror, which sits flush on the inside of the (fold back) lid.
Need I say much?! The TooFaced Graphic Design team need an extremely HUGE pat on the back, for their consistently AMAZING packaging ideas!
I LOVE IT.
In my opinion, TooFaced aren’t a brand that go for sleek, thin and dainty packaging AND to fit thirty shades in a palette, I wouldn’t have imagined this to be dainty or thin either.. BUT TooFaced have somehow done it. This palette is lightweight, it stores well in my Alex 9 drawer unit and it’s actually one that I would happily consider taking away with me. I’m also very impressed with the care and consideration that’s gone on inside, as the shadow pans are nicely separated and spaced apart. Meaning, that the shadows don’t mix and contaminate with one another… which is definitely a huge pet peeve of mine.
Going back to traveling briefly.. I have to say that I think this palette would be good for travel as it holds and contains literally every shade that you could possibly want or need. SO yes this palette is kind of big, but it’s also the only eye palette that one would need to take with them.
I also have to mention the mirror because a mirror in an eyeshadow palette isn’t something that I usually ever take a lot of notice of, let alone use.
In fact, I’ll only usually look for one if I’m needing to write down that ones there.
The mirror on this palette is however one that I have already used! As it’s clear, HUGE and just very handy for if I need to do my make-up quickly or on the go. With this, I could happily sit in the car (not driving of course) and do my make-up with the use of this large mirror.
This palette is such a heart throb, honestly. You couldn’t wish for a better mix of shades and finishes.
As the various matte shades in this palette are able to provide an excellent transition colour, for many different looks. Whilst also being amazing all-over lid colours too. There are also a lot of shimmers in this palette, which I’m a huge fan off, as I’m all about glittery and sparkly eyes.
The eyeshadows themselves have a soft, buttery texture, which blend out effortlessly, naturally and very beautifully indeed. Some of the shades within this palette are a little more sheer in pigmentation than the others, although this does apply to the lighter shimmery shades to be fair. Otherwise the shades in this palette are actually really pigmented and give the eye a lovely all-over colour with very little effort indeed.
Literally this palette is suitable for SO many different eye looks… I adore it.
Never before have I felt so complete with the range of eyeshadow shades that I own, until now!
Would I say that this palette is worth it’s £52.00 price tag?!
Well…. I actually would but then at the same I wouldn’t – I guess it all depends on your budget and what you like to spend your money on. If your someone who likes to spend a fair chunk of their money on products with the quality factor, then absolutely – spend away! but £52.00 is a lot of money and certainly not to be taken away lightly… especially on an eyeshadow palette after all.
On the other hand.
The TooFaced Sweet Peach Palette is £39.00 – and for that you get eighteen shades. If you want to get all technical about it, the Natural Love Palette is giving you thirty shades for £52.00 – which is a twelve shade difference for just £13.00 more in price.
Which if we’re basing this palette’s worth of figures alone. Then YES absolutely – I would say that this palette is worth it’s price tag.
Overall, I would have to say that I’m very glad that I purchased this palette in the first place. Ordering from a US site in the UK isn’t the most fun of things to do… as pretty instantly your hit with UK tax, import charges and of course shipping BUT luckily, I caught shopping on TooFaced.com just right, as they were offering free international shipping (thank you very much).
I’ve been using this palette literally every day since owning it, and everyday discovering new shades to use and looks that I’m able to create because of this palette….
TOOFACED YOU DID GOOD!
What do you think to this palette, would you get it?! I would love to know your thoughts in the comments below.
