Who remembers when the relatively NEW Jaclyn Hill Palette came to the UK… and practically broke the BeautyBay website because it sold out THAT quick?!!
The Jaclyn Hill Palette (in collaboration with Morphe) houses thirty-five beautiful shades – ranging from Autumnal reds, browns and nudes, there are also metallic pinks, greens, an amethyst sparkly purple and even a fun sparkly blue.
From the generous pan sizes to the classically simple designed packaging, there are also plenty of finishes to choose from within this palette. From matte shades to shimmers, you will also find satin eyeshadows, foils and even glitters… ideally making this palette ONE that is going to appeal to everyone!
*All of the following shadow swatches were applied DRY – onto clean, dry skin*.
To say that I am a Morphe expert would be a complete and utter lie because this is my first EVER Morphe palette that I’ve ever owned, tried or, of course, used. Although, I have always heard some pretty amazing things about Morphe’s eyeshadows… as their formula is supposed to be very pigmented, very easy to blend and with that just good quality overall. Therefore, I could only say now, that I am expecting this to be a pretty good eyeshadow palette for the relatively fair price of £37.00…
In all – and after wearing these shadows CONSTANTLY over the past couple of weeks – I would have to tell you that I am in love with the Jaclyn Hill palette in collaboration with Morphe!!!
The shadows themselves are beautifully pigmented and with that just incredibly easy to apply but also blend. I have never felt the need to use a primer beforehand, although have, of course, tried. When using a primer as opposed to not, I would have to tell you that I have never actually noticed any difference in terms of application, their blendability or, in fact, their pigmentation, which is amazing, to say the least. These shadows can be applied smoothly over the top of cream-based products too, which is again, always good to know for if you want to apply a cream shadow stick beforehand, just to really ‘pick up’ your look.
The Jaclyn Hill eyeshadows within this stunning Morphe collaboration also wear beautifully throughout the day in my opinion – regardless of whether you use a primer, a setting spray or even a blooming time machine!
There are also a number of ways in which you can wear the glitter shadows, the foiled ones and of course the metallics within this palette…
You can happily wear these alone, don’t get me wrong because they are so very richly pigmented already. Although – if you did want a slightly more foiled look – then you only have to slightly dampen your brush before application, as then these shadows really will pop, intensify and dramatise your eye look even further!
Not only has this product been created by someone who lives, breathes and adores makeup… but it also has a LOT to offer in my opinion. At the end of the day, a beauty influencer is always going to pour their heart and soul into whatever they create, whether that be in collaboration with a brand or their very own product line because they have more than just the companies good name to maintain!
Beauty influencers work with makeup practically every day of their life. They understand what the customer wants because they are a customer too at the end of the day. They also know the market, they know what makeup looks work and what looks people tend to stay away from… At the end of the day, this is Jaclyn Hill’s product, this is her name and she is going to consider the pigmentation, the colour range, the colour payoff, the blendability and, of course, whether the shades actually compliment one another or not. Overall, I could only say that all of this is totally reflected within this palette because it is an all-around winner in my opinion!
