Another palette by TooFaced Cosmetics?! Yes, it is true.
With just a short time ago, TooFaced also releasing the absolutely beautiful White Chocolate Bar Eyeshadow Palette, we now have one ULTRA-GLAM palette to thankfully drool over!
SO, WHAT IS THERE TO KNOW?
Well, this NEW palette by TooFaced Cosmetics does indeed have A LOT to offer, with three creamy mattes to thirteen (supposedly, high-shine) metallics, it is pretty clear to see what the theme of this palette is, and what TooFaced were actually going for…
The shadows themselves are said to be made with 100% natural cocoa powder and REAL gold, which I must admit, sounds delightful! They are described to not only have a richly-pigmented formula but their texture is supposed to be divine, which altogether enables these shadows to give a ‘full coverage pay-off’ in JUST one swipe!?! Which let’s face it, would be very impressive, to say the least.
WOWWEE! Just look at this packaging.
Isn’t it incredible?
From the mesmerising effect of that gorgeous melted liquid gold on the packaging itself to those incredibly ‘boujee’ and unrealistic shade names, I don’t really feel like I need to say much more, as I’m pretty sure that the packaging of this palette can speak entirely for itself.
*Please note, that all of the following swatches have been placed on a clean, dry arm.
L-R: MONEY BAGS • CHOCOLATE GOLD • RICH GIRL • COCOA TRUFFLE • DECADENT • LOVE & COCOA • OLD MONEY • NEW MONEY • FAMOUS
L-R: ROLLIN’ IN DOUGH • DRIPPIN’ DIAMONDS • LIVIN’ LAVISH • GOLD DIPPED • HOLLA FOR A DOLLA • SO BOUJEE • CLASSY & SASSY
What can I say? I am a sucker for all things shiny, all things sparkly, and everything makeup.
This palette is without a shadow of a doubt, over the top! It is EXTRA, it is boujee, ALTHOUGH, in all, actually pretty wearable dare I say?!
I love the array of different – extremely luxurious, metallic shades that this palette has to offer, as well as the three, absolutely gorgeous, neutral-toned mattes. The shade range is exquisite in my opinion, as it offers a completely wearable array of colours, which can so effortlessly be glammed-up and intensified, by either applying them with a wet brush or in fact, your finger.
If I was, however, going to make just one comment on the shade range that this palette so beautifully has to offer, then I would have to say that I wish this came with some sort of highlighter. Only because I do have to go back to a second palette to be able to highlight my inner corners and under that brow bone arch, which isn’t, of course, end of this world, just a little inconvenient truth be told.
The metallic shadows within this palette are in my opinion absolutely stunning.
They have a soft, velvet-like texture, which just so happens to be exactly how TooFaced describe them! They are comfortable to wear, as well as very easy to blend, and because of this, I like to mix a few of the different shadows together, often, to create more of an ombré style of look!
Now, they do kick-up in the pan unfortunately and certainly cause quite A LOT of fall-out, so please be aware.
To apply any of the metallic shades in-particular, then I would have to say that I, personally like to use either my finger or a dense, flat brush. Only because I find that these applicators get the most out of these shadows in terms of pigmentation and colour-payoff. If you were wanting to apply any of these, however, with something even remotely fluffier and softer, like a blending brush for example, then please just be prepared for a ton of fall-out, that never actually seems to want to budge all that easily.
I would personally, always recommend applying metallic shadows, like these, prior to foundation OR at least, use some sort of under-eye shield.
In all, I would have to tell you that I really, really like this palette!
It certainly has a few imperfections here and there – like the amount of fall-out that these eyeshadows give – BUT hey, we can’t all be perfect can we?! I love the colour range that this palette has on offer, too, as even though it is very luxurious, glam and perhaps even quite dramatic, there are some really beautiful, wearable shades in here, like ‘Classy & Sassy’ for example. The matte shades are perfect too, in my opinion. As each one offers a look within itself BUT most importantly is there to really compliment any of the powerful metallics that sit beside them…
What are your thoughts on this completely luxurious and ultra-GLAM eyeshadow palette by TooFaced Cosmetics? Would you be keen to try this out for yourself?
