The time called for a very slow mooch around my absolute FAVOURITE drugstore that is Boots.
With birthday money still in my purse and an array of different vouchers to take full advantage off, I was eager to see what new goodies Boots had in-store – as well as picking up a few different products that I had been lusting over for quite some time.
Beginning my shop around the makeup counters (OF COURSE) I have been desperate to pick up one of the new L´Oréal Color Riche Shine Lipsticks for absolutely bloooming ages!! From the shade range that Boots had in-store at the time, I must tell you that the shade: 112 definitely stood out to me the most, as it one that I would personally describe as being quite a classy but really quite beautiful dusky coral pink.
Continuing to the new C.Y.O makeup counter, I was very intrigued by a number of their products.
For the time being, however, I wanted to pick up one of their Illuminating Mixing Creams, in the shade: Turn on the Light, as well as one of their Bronzing and Illuminating Compacts, in the shade: Fair/Medium. I feel that their Bronzing and Illuminating Compact will be perfect for those more natural of makeup days when I still want a little bit of ‘something’ adding to my skin.
YES, I DID IT!
I finally remembered to pick up a brand new Benefit Rollerlash Mascara, as I used to absolutely freaking adore this mascara but just never seemed to repurchase it after using my original one up for some reason!?
I am incredibly excited to try this mascara out once again, as I can’t even remember when I last wore this product.
With all of the other wonderful drugstore goodies that I had managed to pick up, already in my shopping basket, you know that I HAD to pick up a few replacements of one of the best drugstore concealers in my personal opinion. The Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer has recently come out in a brand new shade – Extra Fair 0 – So, with this in mind, you know that I had to get my hands on this new shade, as well as a replacement of Fair 1 too!
As Collection was also involved in the amazing ‘3 for 2’ mix and match promotion that Boots had on at the time, I also decided to pick up one of their Finishing Touch Highlighters, in the shade: Gleam 1, as this swatched really quite lovely in-store.
Moving on to the FINAL highlighter/illuminating product in this haul… thank goodness, I really wanted to try out the Max Factor Miracle Glow Duo Pro Illuminator, in the shade: Fair/Medium, as I really liked the balm-like texture when swatching this product in-store.
After hearing a few Fleur De Force recommendations a few days ago, it is fair to say that I am eager to try out the NEW Isle Of Paradise Self-Tanning Drops, in the shade: Medium.
The new Isle of Paradise Self-Tanning Drops are to be mixed in with your normal moisturiser and can be used on both the face & body.
My reason for picking these new tanning drops up is basically because I love the look of tanned skin although, can’t always be bothered to stand half naked and apply it, let it dry and then keep on top of it by reapplying over the following few days. With this product, however, I am hoping that all I have to do is mix in a few drops with a moisturiser that I already like – moisturise all-over my body AND ‘bobs your uncle’, I’m nice and tanned. Although, I haven’t actually used this product yet, so we shall see…
From the No7 beauty counter, I REALLY wanted to get my hands on one of the new Aqua Perfect Cushion Foundations BUT the lightest shade, which is called Calico is still far too dark for my natural skin-tone, so I couldn’t. I did, however, decide to pick up one of their Radiant Results Revitalising Hot Cloth Cleansers, as well as the Instant Results Nourishing Hydrating Face Mask and finally one of the Beautiful Skin Pore Minimising Serums for all skin types.
Last night, I used both the Hot Cloth Cleanser to take off the remainder of my makeup, as well as some of the Nourishing Hydrating Face Mask. In all and as first impressions go, I must tell you that I really liked how both of these two products worked but will, of course, keep you posted as I use them and really discover what they are like.
With a discount voucher specifically for Lanolips in my purse, I was eager to take a look at the Lanolip product range that Boots had in-store at the time. As some of you may know already, I have used Lanolips before and am a big fan of their 101 Ointment! Whilst looking at all of the different lip balms and lip caring treatments, I must tell you that the Lanolips Lemonaid Lip Treatment instantly caught my attention and with that, headed straight into my basket!!!
As first impressions go, I must say that I really, really like this product AND am so glad that I actually picked it up!
Finding and discovering a product that actually works throughout one’s day-to-day life is honestly one of the best feelings that there is when it comes to beauty products and cosmetics. The Lanolips Lemonaid Lip Treatment is going to be a product that I know I am going to turn to both in the mornings and the evenings, as I love how it both applies and feels on my lips!
Where hair and body is concerned, I didn’t really get all that carried away…
First on the list is the Cantu Shea Butter, Tea Tree & JOJOBA Hair & Scalp Oil – as I have very bleached-damaged hair that is always in need of some extra TLC. This product claims to help protect hair against breakage, whilst also conditioning the scalp to encourage hair growth. I can’t wait to try this product out and see if it actually helps the condition of my hair or not. Talking of hair, I also decided to pick up the Babyliss Diamond Radiance Brush – Ideal for short hair, as I have been tackling with quite a bit of unnessary frizz lately, whilst blow-drying my hair, and am hoping that this brush will help me out!
For the body, I decided to ‘splurge out completely’ and get the LARGE bottle of ecohydra AntiBacterial Hand Sanitiser Foam WITH Aloe Vera (exciting or what?!?). Whilst then, also picking up a very pretty bottle of the Baylis & Harding Beauticology Tropical Cocktail Hand Wash, as this product was on offer a the time and I have always wanted to try it out.
One thing that I have noticed whilst getting older, is just how amazing soap and body care actually is! I literally cannot wait to have all of the fanciest bottles of soap when I move out because ‘YES, I am wild’.
The last two things that I decided to pick up, were two body washes by Imperial Leather, which include the Limited Edition Unicorn Marsh Mallow Foamburst Luxurious Body Wash, and the heavenly scented Sweet Vanilla & Cherry Blossom Foamburst Luxiourios Body Wash.
That is everything that I managed to pick up from Boots last Friday, and I literally cannot wait to try each and everything out!!!
