Here she is! Another limited edition – online exclusive – lipstick shade by Charlotte Tilbury.
The Duchess lipstick is apart of Charlotte’s very popular K.I.S.S.I.N.G collection.
Containing a blend of waxes, light-diffusing pigments and Lipstick Tree extracts, Charlotte claims that her K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipsticks, in particular, will give your lips a fuller-looking, hydrated pout overall!
To take a slightly closer look at the ingredients of this beautiful lipstick itself, I would like to tell you that the Lipstick Tree extracts offer protection to your lips from UV damage and oxidative stress. To leave your lips soft, soothed and hydrated. The light-diffusing pigments then give your lips a multi-dimensional finish, which will leave them looking fulled-bodied and luminous. Then finally, the carefully selected blend of waxes helps to glide this lipstick over the lips for a rich, buildable colour.
The Duchess is described on the Charlotte Tilbury website itself as a ‘charming tea-rose pink shade’, which is ideal for either date night or daytime wear.
In my personal opinion, I would have to say that Charlotte couldn’t have described this lipstick any better even if she’d tried. It is a beautiful coloured lipstick. Crossing from a soft and delicate blush pink to a colouring of rose, I think this could be my new favourite lip colour! Especially for the summer time.
In photography this lipstick may appear rather red and coral based, although you should believe me when I say that The Duchess shows a lot more rose toned once on the lips in my opinion.
I love the incredibly creamy yet weightless texture that this lipstick has to it, as it so comfortable to not only apply but also wear. The Duchess lipstick is also beautifully pigmented in my opinion and so effortlessly buildable, you couldn’t wish for anything more.
The only one downside that I can honestly think off, however, is that this lipstick is not long-wear, neither transfer or kiss proof. Although, in all fairness, Charlotte has never claimed this lipstick to be any of those things anyway.
What are your thoughts on The Duchess lipstick by Charlotte Tilbury?! Do you think it should become a permanent shade?
