Grab a cuppa, some chocolate biscuits or even a punnet of strawberries because this post is a long one…
Before applying any kind of makeup to your face, I would always recommend a healthy little skincare routine of some sort.
Pixi by Petra Glow Tonic
To exfoliate the skin – remove dirt, dead skin cells and keep blemishes at bay, I often like to use my Pixi by Petra Glow Tonic with 5% Glycolic Acid.
Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado
Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream
Since I have been using these two cream-based products twice, every single day, I would have to tell you that my skin has never looked or felt better!!
The Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado smoothens out fine lines, replenishes tired, dry skin and also boosts hydration and therefore radiance around the under eye area. The Ultra Facial Cream, on the other hand, is to be used on your entire face. It absorbs beautifully, leaving a really soft, cooling and hydrating texture on the skin! This product works great alone but also amazing under my makeup!!
Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream
When it comes to lip care, I must tell you that I am not loyal in the slightest. I like Lanolips, and sometimes use Blistex. Although, for this look I decided to use my travel-friendly size Eight Hour Cream by Elizabeth Arden.
Charlotte Tilbury Brightening Youth Glow
To prep the skin and give a nice, moisturised but glowy and dewy base, I decided to reach for the Brightening Youth Glow Primer by Charlotte Tilbury.
This primer is a nice product to use, although it isn’t a primer that I would choose to reach for every single day!! It gives a nice dewy and glowy finish to the complexion, although it isn’t one for blurring fine lines or reducing the size of pores. I would, however, certainly recommend this primer (or one similar) for this style of look, as it certainly primed my skin, giving it a great glow and enabled foundation to apply seamlessly!
Lancome Skin Feels Good
Hydrating Skin Tint Healthy Glow
– 010 CPORCL
Why I haven’t told you about this beautifully effortless product in the past actually baffles me to say the least because I am a fan of this product!
With a gel-like consistency, the Lancome Skin Feels Good skin tint applies and blends effortlessly onto the complexion. It is light yet pigmented and gives a great light-medium coverage in my opinion.
Giving a sunkissed tint to an otherwise quite dull and dry complexion, I must tell you that I love to use this product when I am lightly tanned and feeling in the mood for a lighter, more comfortable foundation or complexion base.
Diorskin Forever Undercover Concealer
Pixi Pat Away Concealing Base
When it comes to concealer, I wouldn’t really be too concerned as to which product OR products you actually use…
Whilst both concealers that I used when creating this look are both fab! I actually only reached for these two products because of their tone and formulation. The Dior Undercover Concealer in the shade: 010 is definitely the most peach toned concealer out of my entire collection – Therefore, with a lightly tanned skin tone, I know that this product looks great! The Pat Away Concealer by Pixi, however, has a lovely and creamy, light yet pigmented formulation which sits naturally on the skin and also feels really nice and comfortable.
ICONIC LONDON Sculpt & Boost Eyebrow Cushion
Benefit Gimme Brow
– Shade: 1
When it came to my brows… I really wanted to use a product that I know offers pigmentation, coverage but also looks great and works well…
The Iconic London Sculpt & Boost Brow Cushion as you may have read in my recent review is a really innovative product in my opinion.
I love the gel-like, dewy finish that this product gives to my brows, whilst it also really easily defines my brows natural shape and fills in any sparser areas perfectly as well! If you are makeup enthusiast and with that like playing around with different brow products then I would 100% recommend trying this product out whilst you still can!!
DIOR Backstage Eye Palette
– 002 Cool Neutrals
Stila Shimmer & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow
For the eyes, I wanted something cool-toned. Something matte but also highlighted and a colour palette that I am also used to wearing.
Therefore, I decided to reach for my brand new Dior Backstage Eyeshadow Palette in the shade range: 002 Cool Neutrals, as I haven’t really had the chance to play around with this palette as of yet and I wanted to see what it was really like… Up to now, I must tell you that I like this palette but will, of course, have a review coming to Jellybluesblog.co.uk pretty soon – so subscribe to keep updated!
To glam up the eyes just a little, I decided to pop on a touch of the extremely complimentary Stila Shimmer & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow in the shade: Cloud!!
YSL ‘The Curler’ Mascara
Rocking the ‘new-in’ makeup products, I had to use one of my current obsessions…
The brand new ‘The Curler’ Mascara by YSL!!!
Buxom ‘Big & Sexy’ Bold Gel Lipstick
– Rebel Rose
Anyone who knows me OR has read my blog before will know that I am a huge fan of the Buxom Cosmetics ‘Big & Sexy’ Bold Gel Lipsticks… particularly the shade: Rebel Rose.
I love this lipstick! From it’s soft and creamy, high shine finish to the incredibly comfortable moisturising consistency… I JUST HAD TO USE THIS LIPSTICK IN THIS LOOK!!!
KIKO Flawless Fusion Bronzer Powder
– Shade: 01
Being as I didn’t want anything to defined – too dramatic or ‘overly put together’ in this look, I thought the soft and buttery Flawless Fusion Bronzer Powder by KIKO Cosmetics would be a perfect opinion!
If you haven’t tried any of the KIKO powders already – I would certainly recommend checking them out because they are amazing quality for their price.
Charlotte Tilbury Cheek To Chic Swish & Pop Blusher
– Sex On Fire
Perhaps I reach for this blush far too often?!
Either way, I must tell you that I am a huge fan of the slightly mauve toned, dusky rose blush that is called Sex on Fire by Charlotte Tilbury. With pigmentation, a smooth, blendable formulation –
I have no doubt in my mind that everyone who tries one of these blushes will love it to.
DIOR Backstage Glow Face Palette
Do you like a glow?! A defined highlight and a shocking cheekbone!? Then this is a product for you…
Although, you will have to wait and see what I really think to this product because I am giving away no secrets here. A full review on the gorgeous NEW Backstage Collection by Dior will be up on Jellybluesblog.co.uk very soon… so subscribe to stay updated!
ICONIC LONDON Prep, Set • Glow Facial Spray
YSL Top Secrets Hydrating Makeup Setting Spray
Last but by no means least, we have the two facial sprays that literally made this whole soft, glowy and dewy makeup look possible!!
The YSL Top Secrets Hydrating Makeup Setting Spray is a great product to use when you literally want to spray and go!!
With an ultra-fine, lightweight mist, I must tell you that I love to use this spray over my entire face to set my makeup into place but also combine any of the powders that I’ve used together for a seamless and near flawless finish!
The Iconic London Prep, Set, Glow Facial Spray on the other hand is the perfect product to use when you literally want a spray on glow because this product will lift, brighten and illuminate the entire complexion, capturing the top of the cheekbones and enhancing one’s natural highlight or EVEN added highlighter now I come to mention it…
