Makeup Bag Newbies | Episode 1

Welcome to the “NEW-IN MY MAKEUP BAG” blog post series.
Where I share with you all a random bunch of products that have recently been added to my makeup collection.

This is a very laid back style of post – one that I am only going to create every now and then – to share with you all a bunch of products that I’ve either recently picked up online, in-stores OR even very kindly been gifted.

This post is a way for you to see which new products have recently been released OR, in fact, to find some oldies but goodies, that you may have not heard of before.

LUNAR BEAUTY LIFE’S A DRAG PALETTE
‘You betcha!’ I got my hands on the new Lunar Beauty Life’s a drag eyeshadow palette by the fabulous Manny MUA.

This palette features 14 glorious shadows, from some bright pops of colour to some more wearable, neutral shades. I would have to say that this is a very versatile eyeshadow palette in my opinion. From the two highly-pigmented, metallic effect, foiled shimmers also, it is fair to say that I am really looking forward to playing with this product and ‘with that’ creating a whole bunch of different eye looks with it too.

ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS NORVINA PALETTE

One of the hottest new releases to have hit the beauty industry for quite some time is the gorgeous NEW Norvina eyeshadow palette by Anastasia Beverly Hills.

I actually already have a review on this palette up on the blog!
– So if you are interested to find out more, please head over to that blog post (find it here).

Following my obsession with the new Norvina palette, I decided to also treat myself to the ever-so-sophisticated Soft Glam eyeshadow palette that is also by Anastasia Beverly Hills. I am a big fan of the Anastasia eyeshadow formula and so, wanted a more wearable, everyday palette that would compliment so many different outfits and with that makeup looks too.

URBAN DECAY BORN TO RUN PALETTE

Yes, I fell into the beauty trap.

The NEW Born to run eyeshadow palette by Urban Decay features 21 breathtaking shadows. From a nice selection of shimmers to some beautiful metallic/ foiled effect shades, there is also a complimentary selection of mattes within this beautifully designed and very unique product.

THE TAMMI X REVOLUTION TROPICAL PARADISE PALETTE

‘AND’… The brand new collaboration between IMOGENTATION & REVOLUTION.

I haven’t actually tried any three of these new-to-me palettes out by Revolution as of yet. Although, I am sure that they will be great if any of Revolutions past products are anything to go by!

Maybelline Dream Matte Blush
(MAUVE INTRIGUE & FLIRTY PINK)

Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Mattifying Foundation & Primer
(48 SUN BEIGE)

Who else is intrigued and just a little bit obsessed with the Soleil Tan De Chanel cream bronzing mousse BUT just can’t justify spending that £40 price tag!?

Because ME TOO, seriously.

Since I have wanted to get my hands on the Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel for ages and ages though, I felt that I should first try this style of product by finding a drugstore dupe, to begin with. Granted the Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse is a foundation, and with that, the shade range isn’t all that spectacular – Although, I must tell you that I am enjoying this product for bronzing around my neck, under my cheekbones and around the perimeter of my face also.

NARS PURE RADIANT TINTED MOISTURISER SPF 30/PA+++
(LIGHT O, TERRE-NEUVE).

Since the sun has been shining down on Great Britain, I needed a good tinted moisturiser in my life.

Being as I am already a huge fan of NARS Cosmetics, I, therefore, saw no drawbacks in going in and getting shade matched to their highly-raved about tinted moisturiser and, therefore, picking one up at the same time too!

HOURGLASS CAUTION MASCARA

You can already find the boujee AF Caution Mascara by Hourglass on the blog!! Although, recently I’ve also added the fabulous Caution Mascara to my makeup collection!

If you wish to find out my honest thoughts on this new product, then please head over to the blog post – or find it here.

CHANEL LE VOLUME REVOLUTION DE CHANEL MASCARA

Another mascara?!
I know.
I have a problem. Although to be fair, I actually received a small sample of this mascara in a recent Harvey Nics order that I’d made – and loved it so much that I then went out to purchase the mascara as a full-size product!

If you are interested to see exactly what this mascara does for my lashes, then feel free to head over to that recent blog post (find it here).

MAKE UP FOR EVER ULTRA HD SOFT LIGHT LIQUID HIGHLIGHT
A product that I didn’t purchase…
I spend far too much money on makeup.

Last Friday, the Friday before? Debenhams actually had an extremely generous offer for their Beauty Club members. On a first come first serve basis, you could literally walk into Debenhams, find the Make Up For Ever counter and there ask for the Ultra HD Liquid Highlighter sample that they were giving away at the time!

HOURGLASS SCATTERED LIGHT GLITTER EYESHADOW
(AURA)

Yep another Hourglass product, I know. But when a new product claims to be glittery, shimmery and purple-themed too… HOW COULD I RESIST!?
Really?!

SMASHBOX PHOTO EDIT GLITTER EYESHADOW TRIO
(PIC ME)

Ever since Sam Chapman – aka. Pixi Woo – posted a picture of her wearing this eyeshadow trio on her eyes over on Instagram, I just knew that I had to have it. The soft salmon-toned matte is smooth, buttery and effortless to apply and blend. Whilst the two glittered pinks are PIGMENTED, complimentary to one-another, and easily create a very intense eye look with literally no effort whatsoever!

Lottie London Eye Foil/ Metallic Eyeshadow Toppers
(DENIED, FADED, FIRE & SAVAGE)

Ooo la la! I love a good glittered eyeshadow, don’t you?
These new metallic eyeshadow toppers by Lottie London are the drugstore equivalent to the famous Stila Glitter & Glow liquid eyeshadows in my opinion – although, without quite as much of the pigmentation to be fair.
