Bronzed Smokey Eye Look

Whether you are attending a wedding in the evening or treating yourself to a day of shopping in town, you really can’t go wrong with the versatility of a bronzed smokey eye look in my opinion.

With warm undertones and a complimentary collection of shades – I just had to get my hands on the Coloured Raine Queen Of Hearts eyeshadow palette when justmylook.com very kindly got in touch and asked if I would like to choose a couple of their products from their website to feature on my blog!

At the end of the day, a bronzed smokey eye look is a classic!
Complimenting most eye colours with most complexions also, I am really looking forward to sharing the eye look that I created using the Coloured Raine Queen Of Hearts eyeshadow palette with the also gorgeous RealTechniques Enhanced Eye Set that justmylook.com also very kindly gifted me!

The Coloured Raine Queen Of Hearts Eyeshadow Palette

What can I say?! This palette offers a generous selection of pan sizes with an also gorgeous shade range. It is ideal for those of us who like a specific style of look in my opinion, as you are able to create a varied selection of eye looks with this palette, although each look would be somewhat similar in my opinion – especially with regards to the tones and hues.

I love how this palette contains both matte shadows and glitters. Combining each finish together offers versatility but also adds dimension and texture! I am a big fan!

The shadows themselves are nice. They are pigmented, they are smooth but they do consume more time when it comes to blending. If you are happy to spend the time and really concentrate on achieving a seamlessly smoked out crease, then, by all means, go and get this palette. If you are someone who literally likes to chuck on a colour and head for the door, however, then I would maybe give the purchase of this palette a re-think…

The glitter shadows featured in the Queen Of Hearts palette do give a little fallout – so baking beforehand is a vital step in my opinion. Placing a good spread of a light, translucent loose setting powder around your under-eyes will ensure that you can easily dust the excess fallout away easily and precisely without risking the fallout staining your skin! There aren’t any huge negative points to this palette, to be honest with you. It is nice. It works and with it, you can create some really beautiful eye looks – you just have to have a little patience I guess and be prepared to blend, blend and blend.

To create this simple and very effective smokey bronzed eye look I used the makeup brushes from the Enhanced Eye Set by Real Techniques. To be honest with you, I have always wanted this brush set! From the metal lash seperator to the medium shadow brush, I am so incredibly happy to now have these brushes in my collection.

The Enhanced Eye Set includes a medium shadow brush, an essential crease brush, a fine liner brush, a shading brush, and finally the very handy – lash separator!

As expected the brushes that are in this set are top notch! They apply product beautifully – place product on the skin seamlessly and also allow blending to be very comfortable and precise. You can’t go wrong with a Real Techniques makeup brush in my opinion BECAUSE they offer quality at a drugstore price!!

Love, Jess
