Hi, my name is Jess and I spend far too much money on makeup...

Some may say that to spend £55 on a six-shade eyeshadow palette is ludicrious and normally I would totally have to agree!! Since I have seen so many glorious mini makeup tutorials over on the Pat McGrath Instagram, however, I decided that 'enough was enough'! I needed to get my hands on one.

Made in U.S.A; the Pat McGrath MTHRSHP Sublime Bronze Ambition Palette features six heavenly shades that can either be applied wet or dry...
Interestingly, Pat McGrath says that her eyeshadows can be applied with a makeup brush or one's finger for an extra intense finish. Obviously applying pigments or shimmer shadows with your fingertip is known to give the best colour payoff and pigmentation, however, it is reassuring to actually see that these eyeshadows have been designed to apply in this manner.

Before telling you my thoughts on this extremely boujee eyeshadow palette, we have GOT to dedicate a small section of this review to the packaging!
From a glorious piece of digital photography to an eyeshadow palette that represents high-fashion and sophistication, it is very clear to see that Pat McGrath wants her brand and her eyeshadow palettes in-particular to represent more than just makeup. The packaging is very bulky - solid in shape and design yet mysteriously contemporary. I feel like lightweight packaging is all well and good but sometimes we all need a piece of makeup that is so ridiculously over the top and definitely not travel-friendly!

Unveiling six glorious shades, we have Copperized, Gold Rush, Throwing Shade, Illicit, Bronze Struck, and finally Gilt Trip in the Sublime Bronze Ambition Palette by Pat McGrath.

Designed by makeup artist; Pat McGrath, I honestly don't know why I was so surprised by the incredible quality of these shadows! They have THE smoothest, richest, most velvety yet finely milled formula that I think I have ever tried... in fact, they are smoother and finer than Natasha Denona shadows in my opinion... and trust me THEY ARE SMOOTH!
If you were thinking of investing in a Pat McGrath palette but just didn't know where to start or which palette to get, then I could only say that the MTHRSHP Sublime Bronze Ambition Palette is a very safe option in my opinion! It is the most wearable palette as far as I am aware because it offers control thanks to an effortless application and a flawless blend, with the creative freedom of versatility and an immaculate shade range which suits many different eye colours and skin tones! Your eye look will look as beautiful by the end of the day as it did in the beginning... and that is coming from a girl who rarely uses eyeshadow primer!

This palette looks absolutely beautiful, I love the shade selection! I have heard so much about Pat McGrath lately, but I don’t know how to justify the price xx

I think this is the prettiest palette out of the smaller palette collection, and certainly the most ‘wearable’ palette too! The shade range is gorgeous!! But I know what you mean. I was ‘umming and arrring’ over this palette for so long – I just felt like a smaller palette was wiser to be able to try out the Pat McGrath formula 🙂 xx
