John Frieda Forever Smooth Collection

Recently I got sent these three John Frieda hair care products to review. These three products are from the Forever Smooth collection by John Frieda and are made to conquer and tackle frizz. As you can probably expect these products all describe to work at their best when used in sequence with each other – so that is exactly what I did! Also on the packaging of each of these is the logo ‘Frizz immunity complex’ – therefore by this I expect these products to work wonders with frizzy hair.

Now I should probably tell you a bit about my own hair for you to really get a feel of how well these products have worked.. My hair is or should I say was colour damaged, I have had bleach on my hair a few times with the rest being a peroxide colouring, so in all fairness I have caused the dry and frizziness myself. My hair has never been ‘awful’ as such, I mean not to long ago I did have really bad dry dead ends, which over time just turned frizzy and nothing could be done to revive them and in the end they did have to have the chop! I was however really quite excited to see how good these product would be.

and here is how I got on

John Frieda Frizz Ease® Forever Smooth – Shampoo

After using this a few times I can tell you that it covers the hair very well, without even using a lot of the product. The shampoo formula itself has a very silky but creamy texture, which smells so good! Once on the hair and in contact with water the silky formula becomes very foamy – this is something that I personally prefer, as I always feel it covers and cleans the hair entirely.

John Frieda Frizz Ease® Forever Smooth – Conditioner

Like the shampoo this conditioner also smells very nice; a classic soapy smell with an also florally, sweet scent! – which isn’t however heavy or sickly. My hair is what I would describe as medium to thick, and with that I struggle to find a conditioner to get through my hair easily. I have found this conditioner to leave my hair very smooth and soft and In fact during washing this off in the shower I could instantly feel the difference within the texture of my hair.

John Frieda Frizz Ease® Forever Smooth – Anti-frizz Primer

This hair primer is to be used to ‘achieve smooth, frizz free hair for the curly, wavy or straight styles you love, with or without heat tools’.

This is one of those products in which you have to be careful with when applying. As applying to much and your hair can be left feeling heavy, wet and greasy in appearance. You also have to be very careful in avoiding your roots when putting this on, as instead you should apply it from your medium length to ends. On the very first use of this product I really liked how managable and soft it made my hair feel, however when using this over the next few days I found it to make my hair feel very heavy and unfortunately look quite greasy and oily, which wouldn’t be so bad if I had put it onto my hair wrong but I was sure and careful to apply this exactly how it describes on the instructions.

Overall I am very pleased with both the shampoo and conditioner, I will happily continue to use these products just not the hair primer.

Thank you!
