Getting Ready With Me | Party Edition

This isn’t one of my ‘usual’ types of posts I know BUT these ‘types’ of posts are ones that I actually enjoy reading myself.
I guess I like the idea of actually being able to see a bunch of beauty products in use, as I’m able to really see if a product is genuinely liked or not! With that in mind I really wanted to share with you all my ‘look’, which I put together and wore out last Saturday*.

The Outfit

Whilst in All Saints a few weeks ago, I came across this stunning silk dress. YES it’s pricey and YES it’s a lavish purchase but I honestly couldn’t walk away from it. I tried the dress on in the fitting rooms and fell in love with it instantly.

This is the ‘Jayda Silk Dress’ in black and I wear a UK size 8 (which is my normal size). The dress has a beautiful flowing design which is made up of different layers of the silk fabric. The length is also very flattering – even on my petite self!
The fabric is very comfortable to wear, it’s also lightweight and very cooling, which is exactly what I wanted. It has an adjustable V neck – meaning you can wear this dress in a number of different ways, depending on the type of look that you want to create and your style of course. I also absolutely LOVE the crossover tie waistband – in fact, this could be my most favourite part. As it really enhances my figure, showing my waist – which I think really pulls this look together whilst also adding a very elegant feature to the dress. Paired with my trusty and very comfortable black chunky heels from Urban Outfitters, I absolutely adore this look and hope to wear it again VERY soon!

The Make-Up

When it came down to my make-up I was really craving something a little bit more fancy and a little bit more adventurous, as let’s face it, it’s not everyday that you can go glam with your make-up. I’d also had a spray tan the day before, so I was able to really experiment with the shades that I was going to wear. With this I was also desperate to use my brand new: ‘Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow’ in the colour ‘Gold Goddess’ – SO to be perfectly honest I based my whole look around this product. Paired with a beautiful pinky/brown lip, I really like how my whole make-up look turned out.
