It's time to get your Christmas tree out of the attic! Change into something fluffy and cosy and keep the hot chocolate out of the cupboard. If you didn't know already we are literally less than 4 weeks away until Christmas!
If the Gingerbread Spice eyeshadow palette by TooFaced wasn't Christmassy enough for you, then, honestly, I don't know what is! Framed by a decorative sugared icing pattern, there is an adorable little 3D gingerbread man sat on both the inside and the outside of this palette. The scent is warm, soft but also subtly spicy... There are shimmers, metallic shades, and an array of mattes! The shade range is versatile yet completely wearable in my opinion, although you could easily create something much more unique, dramatic and glam perfect for the festive season!
Like the majority of TooFaced eyeshadows that I have personally tried, I could only tell you that the formula of each finish in this palette is divine in my opinion. The mattes are soft and velvety yet also buttery and just really lovely to work with in general. They do fluff up in the pan and they do need their excess tapping off before application, although generally, I can't say that TooFaced's matte shadows give too much fallout. Their metallic and shimmer shades, however, are partial to a bit of fallout in my opinion! If you are planning on creating a much richer, intense eye look with the darker shimmery shades in this palette, then I would certainly recommend either applying your eyeshadow first or prepping the skin by layering a good veil of loose setting powder under your eyes to catch any fallout.
In general though, I could only tell you that I really really like this palette and am loving using it on a daily basis when I choose to wear eyeshadow! You can layer these shadows, apply more as the day goes on or happily build a shimmer/ metallic shade up to something really quite intense!! I love the versatility that this palette offers. From the warm neutral crease shades like Gingerbread and Gingerbread Latte to the rich plum shades that are Figgy Pudding, Reindeer Paws and OOO Burn! I must tell you that this palette is right up my street! Yes, this is a perfect palette for the festive season but also one that I know I will be using throughout the entire year!
