"Why is that whenever I visit a makeup counter the glitter and metallics in any eyeshadow palette are ALWAYS used up??!" No matter how many of us claim to be monochrome and beige junkies, clearly there are still plenty of us magpies left. The ones that "literally" go for all the glitter and all of the sparkly, shiny things!
One product that recently caught my attention is the Pretty Rich Diamond Light eyeshadow palette by TooFaced. This palette is big and bulky. Solid yet beautifully designed and packaged. I would not call this a 'travel-friendly' eyeshadow palette, as it is one that suits the safety of one's dressing table or vanity unit. Despite the large, chunky and rather quite weighty lid, I must also say that the mirror that comes with this palette is a little disappointing in my opinion.
Mirror aside, I LOVE WHAT THIS PALETTE HAS TO OFFER!
From simple mattes to subtle shimmers, you can also find beautiful metallic shades in this palette as well as "literal" pressed flecks of glitter! Featuring sixteen shades in total, I would happily say that you can create a good mix of different eye looks with this one palette. From deep, midnight inspired looks to ultra sparkly high-glam, I would also say that a classy matte eye look is still totally achievable with this eyeshadow palette. It is versatile, although the shades are all very complimentary to one another thanks to a similar undertone.

With regards to application, I would have to say that the Pretty Rich palette does share characteristics to every other TooFaced eyeshadow palette that I already own. The mattes are soft and buttery. The metallic shadows are pigmented yet buildable. I would say that anyone could easily create a very nice eye look with a TooFaced palette because they do have a nice formula that is easy to both apply and blend. The four diamond-shaped pressed-gel glitter shadows, on the other hand, do give this palette a slight difference to any other TooFaced eyeshadow palette that I have ever owned or used myself. TooFaced says that the formula is specially created to "minimize glitter fallout" and although this is true to some respect I would still HAVE to say that these four shadows in-particular do give a heck of a lot of fallout!! You are not able to effortlessly dust away any of the fallout given from one of these pressed glitters either in my opinion. With them having quite a gritty formula thanks to the glitter, I find that the glitter particles just seem to stick and spread all over the place if I do try to dust away any fallout.
So if you are someone who is still desperate to get your hands on this palette then I would highly recommend you seriously considering applying all of your eye makeup prior to anything else, like foundation.
