*NEW* Pat McGrath Labs Fetish Eyes Mascara (Review)

We’ve all seen the theatrical ads on YouTube. Pat McGrath Labs is finally more accessible in the UK since launching at Selfridges.

If you are an avid follower of Jellybluesblog and you see my posts over on Instagram @Jellybluesblog >>> please go and give me a follow by the way! Then you will know that I love a good dramatic, big and chunky, false lash look without the faff of actually having to apply false lashes. I like a mascara that will deliver an amplified look in as little as just two coats, which is why the Fetish Eyes mascara appealed to me at first glance.

This limited edition mascara is said to deliver a versatile style of look. From “amplified lashes with a glamorous volume” to a 1960’s tribute to “spidery, doll-like lashes”, this buildable mascara is certainly not for the natural lash lover.

Left: Natural Lashes / Right: Pat McGrath Labs Fetish Eyes Mascara (x2 coats)

As first impressions go, I must say that I was very impressed by this mascara. It gave my natural lashes instant volume and definition without making my lashes feel too dry or sticky in consistency, although the formula is one that I would have to describe as quite crumbly.

After applying around 2-3 coats of the Fetish Eyes mascara, my lashes appear very big and volumised but also a little clumpy!! If you don’t mind a slightly clumpier look to your lashes then I really wouldn’t say that the appearance of this mascara is one that would bother you in the slightest – in fact, you’d probably absolutely love it! I like my lashes to look like I am wearing mascara and this product certainly provides this style of look for me.

With regards to wear, I feel that I must mention the slightly crumbly formula a little more. Unfortunately, the Fetish Eyes mascara does crumble throughout wear and from this become just a little bit uncomfortable and irritating for my eyes. If you can power through the little crumbly bits of mascara, however, then you HAVE to try this mascara out because it really is a good’un in my opinion!

Love Jess
